Zhonghao Guangming Institute

Zhonghao Guangming Research & Design Institute of Chemical Industry Co, Ltd. ("Guangming Institute") was founded in 1964, located in Dalian, Liaoning Province, and once was a scientific research institute directly under the Ministry of Chemical Industry. It is a comprehensive research institution integrating scientific research and production, development and design, technical service and quality verification. In 1999, according to the deployment of the national science and technology system reform, it was transformed into a science and technology enterprise. In 2004, it was merged into the former China National Chemical Corporation Ltd. In 2020, according to the overall deployment of the superior company, Haohua Gas Co., Ltd. was established and Guangming Institute was incorporated as its wholly-owned subsidiary.

Since its establishment 58 years ago, Guangming Institute has completed more than 500 scientific research projects at or above the provincial level, among which 206 scientific research achievements have won awards, including 31 national scientific research achievement awards and 98 provincial (ministerial) scientific research progress awards. It has presided over or participated in the formulation and revision of 39 national standards, 5 industry standards. It has 24 authorized patented technologies, and licenses for manufacturing measuring instruments for 82 kinds of gas national standard substances and 4 kinds of chromatographic analyzers. It has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise, Liaoning Enterprise Technology Center, Liaoning Special Gas Engineering Technology Research Center, Dalian High-growth Innovative Enterprise and Dalian Special Gas Engineering Technology Research Center successively. It is a governing unit of China Electronic Chemical Materials Alliance and a member of "Polysilicon Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" and "Integrated Circuit Materials Industry Technology Innovative Alliance" confirmed by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The comprehensive technology of special gas preparation formed by Guangming Institute with independent intellectual property rights belongs to the new material technology, resource and environmental technology in the high-tech field. Its main professional directions include research and development and production of special (electronic) gas, design and development of gas engineering technology, gas testing technology service, research and development of special analytical instruments for high-purity gas, and technical information service of gas industry. It also specializes in research and development, design and equipment of carbon dioxide supercritical fluid engineering technology, water treatment technology and engineering application, and national gas industry quality supervision and testing. Guangming Institute has accumulated rich experience in scientific research and development of special gas synthesis, purification, analysis and testing, packaging containers, safety and environmental protection and other related supporting technologies. The overall research and development capability and technical level of special gas are in a leading position in China, focusing on transforming traditional industries with high technology, and committed to serving and meeting the needs of equipment manufacturing, petrochemical industry, coal chemical industry, integrated circuit, photovoltaic solar energy, environmental protection, medical treatment and other fields.

Guangming Institute has undertaken many industrial strategic research projects, completed many research projects of high-performance fuels for major projects, and made important contributions to the development of new chemical materials and emerging industries such as semiconductor integrated circuit industry, new energy, energy conservation and emission reduction in China.
